Tours, the principle city of the Loire Valley can be added  to your Loire Valley Experience by making use of the local, very efficient, bus service from the village. It takes 1 1/2 hours,driving through lovely countryside .The cost (2010) is 1.70 euros each way -- no driving --no parking--- no hassle.

 

There is a couple of choices of times for departure and returning  to give you a pleasant day out in this fine city. You are taken in comfort to the heart of the city just by the railway station and tourist office and if you take the mid morning bus you arrive just in time for lunch.
